Tea Base for Colds

Priceless Lifesaver

Ingredients
0.5 cup fresh lemon juice
0.5 cup grated fresh ginger
0.5 cup honey
1 tsp turmeric powder
0.5 tbsp fresh grates turmeric (optional)
zest of one lemon
Directions
1. Peel and grate the ginger and turmeric (if available), place in a small mason jar.
2. Grate the zest of one lemon, then squeeze the juice, finally chop the squeezed leftover lemon and add everything to the ginger turmeric mix.
3. Mix well, add honey and powder turmeric, mix again.
2. Add 12-16 oz boiling water to 1 tbsp tea base and enjoy.
Tips
Refrigerate and use within 7-10 days of making the tea base.
Add fresh grated turmeric as available, but not required.
If you never had raw ginger it may cause an upset stomach (but in a good healthy way), as such consume carefully and be aware.
Add to black tea or green tea to enjoy with more tea-like flavors.
